Making Chicken Rolls

Now that I am more comfortable working with dough (see A Pletzel For Your Thoughts and Making Pizza) I decided to make these chicken rolls so I could use up some leftovers (a few of the ingredients were used to make other meals). Of course, you could always substitute something else for the chicken such as sausage (which should have already been cooked), or you can do this with all vegetables and no meat at all (broccoli, mushrooms, spinach, etc.)

I’ve listed below the basic ingredients and baking instructions. Unlike other recipes I’ve posted here I created a video that takes you through the process.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts – cubed
  • Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • Chopped Spinach (I used frozen spinach)
  • Sliced Mushrooms
  • Pizza Dough
  • Chopped Garlic (several cloves)
  • Olive Oil
  • Flour
  • Salt & Pepper

Other Items

Instructions

Bake at 450° F for about 15 minutes. I recommend poking the top of the rolls with a fork after about 8 minutes in the oven.

Be sure to watch the video.

Great video Jeff. And great idea about using leftovers. Ah yes..Garlic and Cheese go good with almost everything. I chuckled at your reference to OCD. I am also very OCDish when I cook(among other things :) )

I need to go look at some of the leftovers in my freezer. I should remember to write dates on em. No tellin’ how long some of the stuff has been in there.
